Macopin School recently completed its Annual Angel Project. Business Education teacher, Rich Dygos spearheaded the project. Donations from students and faculty provided gifts for children in West Milford and all of Passaic County. Homeroom teachers and students collected and raised money in order to buy gifts for those less fortunate during the holiday season. Homerooms received a picture of an angel with the childs first name, age, sex, and possible gift suggestions. Teachers collected money and decided who would shop for the child. The Salvation Army collected the wrapped gifts during the week of Dec. 18. The goal of the program is to help as many people in the area as possible as well as to give the students a learning experience of helping others in need and contributing to the well-being of the community. Ortolani Jewelers in Hewitt helped Macopin School with its Angel Project, as well as many local charities and churches.
