ROCKAWAY TWP — Despite the wintery weather that day, the Green Pond Bible Chapel was crowded for their annual Spring Day on April 8. The entire church was transformed into a carnival with over 60 different indoor activities amid huge spring-themed murals and decorations. Games, crafts, munchies, face painting, balloon animals, “sandy candy” and prizes gave children hours of fun. One of the most popular stops during their visit was the “water balloon yo-yos.” Featured entertainment was provided by “extreme” unicycling world champion, Dustin Kelm. His amazing stunts dazzled both the kids and adults of all ages in the gym. Kelm is the Freestyle World Champion, three-time National Champion, Mountain Unicycling National Champion and the sport’s World Record Holder. He shared the Gospel Message and the love of Jesus during his three shows. His message also included a challenge for kids to have the character to make positive choices that will change their lives forever…all while performing world-class unicycling set to high-energy music. Kelm navigated an obstacle course with jumping and steps and rode progressively taller custom-made unicycles around the gym.
