Art league presents awards

    WARWICK—The Warwick Art League has announced winners in its 51st Annual Exhibition. The artworks are on display until June 19 the Lycian Theatre Gallery on Kings Hwy. in Sugar Loaf. The exhibit includes a variety of paintings, prints, and collages as well as sculptures and a mobile. Sarah McHugh won first place for her oil painting "Remembered Autumn." Lisa Zukowski received the Country Chevrolet Award for her gelatin print "41." The Winsor & Newton Award of a professional watercolor box set went to Peter Krobath for his watercolor painting "Flask." Lisa Toth received the WVT Communications Award for her oil painting "Blueberry Muffin." Mayrose Blumberg won an award from Robert Cox Fine Art Editions for her collage "Ward S6." San-San Yu-received an honorable mention for her watercolor painting "Belize." Honorable mentions were also awarded to Elaine Garvin for her watercolor "Nasturtiums" and Winnie O'Dougherty for her watercolor "Under Nevele Falls." The exhibition is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during performances. The Warwick Art League welcomes professional and amateur artists, as well as persons interested in the support of artistic activities.
