The West Milford Bears hockey program is getting ready for the 2005/2006 season. Four teams will be donning their black and gold jerseys to represent West Milford against area rivals at the Ice Vault arena in Wayne. The Bears hope to build upon a very successful spring season that included a championship for the Bantam team. The program has been bolstered by an infusion of young players. The Bears are also hosting a fundraising beefsteak dinner on Friday, October 14. The dinner will be held at 7 at the Pinecliff Lake Clubhouse. The intent of the association is to provide, for every minor hockey player, an opportunity to participate in a well organized and structured youth hockey program and to promote the qualities of sportsmanship, cooperation, and fair play. Openings are still available for players of all ages. If you are interested in joining or attending the beefsteak dinner, please call 973-697-6273.
