Last weekend marked the annual Catholic blessing of the animals, which is traditionally done near the Feast of St. Francis. In West Milford, Fr. Fred Walters of Our Lady Queen of Peace gave blessings during the parish picnic, while St. Joseph’s got rained out and held an indoor Mass, with Rev. Sigmund Peplowski doing the honors.
