POMPTON PLAINS — The Chilton Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 22nd Annual Chilton Golf Classic was recently held at the North Jersey Country Club in Wayne. The benefit, which was sponsored by the Chilton Memorial Hospital Medical/Dental staff, helped raise an estimated $165,000. The proceeds will be used to meet the needs of Chilton Memorial Hospital. Chilton’s Golf Classic had 152 golfers on the green and 24 volunteers assisting. The day not only featured beautiful weather for any golfer, but a Continental breakfast for the morning flight, 18 holes of golf, carts and caddies. Refreshments, brunch/lunch, a cocktail reception, buffet dinner, hole-in-one prizes and a silent auction were also included. Additional major sponsors included Merrill Lynch, Bernstein Investment Research and Management, BAE systems, Pulse Medical Transportation, and Lysol. “We are very appreciative to our generous sponsors and our golfers in participating in the event,” said Dawn Jones, Executive Vice President of the Chilton Memorial Hospital Foundation. The 2005 Chilton Golf Classic proceeds will assist in renovating the Family Care Center, and the 2006 Chilton Golf Classic proceeds exceeded those from last years making further development for any hospital needs possible. Chairmen and the golf committee will meet with hospital administrators to decide how the proceeds will best serve Chilton Memorial Hospital.
