Chilton offers three classes for new and expecting parents

    POMPTON PLAINS — Chilton Memorial Hospital is offering three classes for new and expecting parents. Prenatal Yoga (January 15 - March 5) for expecting mothers is designed to help strengthen core muscles and increase flexibility, while relaxing other areas such as the lower back and pelvis. This class can improve your emotional well-being and even help with your physical comfort in preparing for childbirth. Learn about the many benefits from taking Chilton’s Prenatal Yoga class during pregnancy. This eight-week session is held Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Nature’s Remedy, 1341 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne. Program fee is $120. Mommy and Me Yoga (January 15 - March 5) is a program for moms and babies up to six months old to attend together! This eight-week session is held Monday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Nature’s Remedy, 1341 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne. Program fee is $120. Happiest Baby on the Block (February 14) is a program for expecting mothers as well as fathers. It offers an approach to help parents become confident while calming their baby and helping them sleep better. Parents will discuss and learn about: The Cuddle Cure, preventing breastfeeding failure, postpartum depression, shaken baby syndrome, marital stress, exhaustion and the missing 4th trimester. This one-day session is held on Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chilton Memorial Hospital’s Collins Pavilion. Program fee is $55 per couple which includes a “Happiest Baby On The Block” DVD/VHS to view at home.
