Clarification

The final item in a story about the school board last week was a bit muddled. It should have read: Board Member Wayne Gottlieb reported the district had received a response to a letter they had written to Senator Robert Martin (R), sponsor of Senate Bill 1219. The bill would update and change the laws regarding open government and public records. The board, and Gottlieb in particular, has been highly critical of the bill. Martin denied the request for records in his response, which caused Gottlieb to call Martin a hypocrite. The records, however, do not fall under the definition of open public records.
