County roads to be fixed

    West Milford — East Shore Road from Forest Lake Drive to the New York State line, Marshall Hill Road from Lincoln Avenue to County Culvert PC-282, and Union Valley Road from Oxbow Lane to Conklin Road will soon be repaved. The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, through the Public Works Committee, finalized the list of roads scheduled for resurfacing this year and the list included three areas of West Milford. Freeholder Jim Gallagher, chairman of the committee, said that $3.1 million has been committed to the project. The resurfacing projects have already begun and will continue through October 15. Smith-Sondy Asphalt Construction Company of Wallington was awarded a contract for road resurfacing in the amount of $1.5 million. Tilcon-New York, Inc. of Wharton was awarded a contract for road resurfacing in the amount of $1.6 million.
