West Milford - Appointments are necessary for flu and pneumonia vaccinations at the township health department. The first group of appointments will be Friday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest gym, 1810 Macopin Rd. On Thursday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., shots will be offered at the Bald Eagle Commons Grange Hall off Morsetown Road. On Friday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., vaccinations will be in offered the gym at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 1911 Union Valley Rd., Hewitt, and on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m., they will be at the United Methodist Church, LaRue Road, in Newfoundland. The fee for flu shots is $12 and the fee for pneumonia shots is $29. Checks and money orders are payable to the West Milford Township Health Department. Residents with Medicare Part B as their primary insurance are covered. Those with an HMO Insurance Card of any kind, must contact their insurance company to determine if a township clinic is covered with Medicare Part B.
