WEST MILFORD Gordie had been hanging around a neighborhood in Upper Greenwood Lake looking for food and shelter. When it became evident he did not belong to anyone in the area, one of the residents was able to catch him in a Have-a-Heart cage. When he first arrived at the shelter he would cower and hide. He would cringe every time he was touched. Over time, Gordie has become much more trusting, loving and relaxed. He no longer hides. He now comes to the front of his cage to see who is coming in and if they might pay attention to him. He is still slightly timid and will require lots of TLC in a secure and loving home environment. This process is usually jump started just by leaving the cage and going into a home. Gordie is a longer haired young male cat. His fur in very soft and fluffy and he has small tuffs of soft white fur in the front of his ears. For more information on Gordie, call 973-728-2859
