WEST MILFORD-Everyone is invited to attend the last Monthly Blood Drive of the year on Sunday, Dec. 19. With the help of residents, volunteers may be able to hit the goal of 1,000 pints donated in 2004. Qualified persons are urged to donate and bring a friend to donate, next at the West Milford First Aid Squad Building on Ridge Road, next to the library, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is a very special gift nearly everyone can give now. In related news, the West Milford Lions have designated the Monthly Blood Drive as an official collection site for used print cartridges from printers and fax machines. These used items will be recycled with the funds being used to support the Lions various philanthropic deeds. The Monthly Blood Drive is one of the few spots that the West Milford Lions have awarded this special honor. Finally, since this is Christmas, donors also will get gifts. Each donor will receive a unique Christmas tree decoration, courtesy of our friends at Russ Berrie. In addition, everyone will receive a T-shirt from the Blood Center of New Jersey. The best gift, however, will be the one given by the donors to those in need.
