The Jefferson Township Recreation Department will be running its third summer day camp. Thanks to the generosity of several organizations, the recreation department was able to financially assist seven families in sending their children to camp last year. The township organizations as well as some benevolent individuals often provide scholarships or funds towards scholarships to help pay the costs associated with children in need who wish to attend summer day camp. Camp fees for 2006 are $130 for a five day week and $90 for a three day week.
