Pompton Plains —The Family Care Center at Chilton Memorial Hospital began its $5 million renovation with a wall-breaking event on March 28. Beautification of the center is designed to present a more comfortable, welcoming environment for families. Upon completion, the home-like setting will include new lighting and gentle-toned wood flooring and furniture in Pediatrics, Mother/Baby and Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms. “Chilton Memorial Hospital’s new environment will complement our excellent health care,” said President and CEO Deborah Zastocki. “Today is the beginning of a journey to build a facility that will truly capture the essence of the birthing experience and continue to make Chilton Memorial Hospital a destination location for expectant mothers.” Renovation of the Family Care Center will be completed in approximately nine months.
