Pompton Plains Chilton Memorial Hospital has been recognized by the 2006 Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey Recognition Program (HHRP) for providing quality patient outcomes and improved overall clinical and financial performance. Horizon awarded the Hospital $94,792 for scoring 20 percent higher on average than all other hospitals in the company’s network. Launched in July 2006, program is designed to enhance quality care and patient safety in hospitals. Scoring is based on five categories: Clinical Measures, Patient Satisfaction, Administration Measures and compliance to JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) and IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvements) standards. Chilton achieved a perfect score in both JCAHO and Administration Measures categories. “We are honored by this reward for our dedication to raising the bar in hospital performance,” said Chilton Memorial Hospital President and CEO Deborah K. Zastocki, FACHE.
