Third graders at Marshall Hill School and Westbrook School received free dictionaries, thanks to the West Milford Rotary, which sponsored the Rotary Dictionary Project. Every third grader in the district got a free dictionary. The Rotarians’ mission is to inspire literacy and an improved quality of life in their community. Below, Rotarians Maria Blacksmith, Eric Kerrsen and district reading coordinator Irene Michaud distributed dictionaries to third-grade students at Marshall Hill School on Friday, Feb. 2. Above, Westbrook School Principal Dr. Joan Oberer, district reading coordinator Irene Michaud, and third-grade students, Nancy Huang, Brianna Perricone, and Sarah Schoenfeld, are pictured with Rotarians Paul Steberger, Eric Kerssen and Rob Jones, who came to give the books to the Westbrook School students.
