    Franklin July 2, Saturday. Franklin Day at the Franklin Recreational Complex, enjoy a parade, music, food, talent competition and a fireworks display. Rain date is July 3, Sunday. For more information, call 973-209-4985. Hopatcong July 1, Friday. Fireworks over the lake, by Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club. Jefferson Township Jefferson Township Day, July 9, Saturday. All events take place at the Jefferson Township High School Fields on Weldon Road. Parade starts at 11 a.m. followed by non-stop live entertainment all day long, arts and crafts, and children's games. Starting at 6 p.m. there will be a $2 charge for adults and a $1 charge for children. The evening concert begins at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Vernon The Highland Lakes and Vernon Fire Departments will be hosting their 10th annual fireworks display on Saturday, July 2 (or the next clear day) on Vernon Crossing Road. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for a group of four. Hot dogs, ice cream and snacks will be available. There will be a DJ, "bouncy house," and other attractions. West Milford Thunder in the Highlands will be a holiday celebration sponsored by West Milford Parks and Recreation. Scheduled for July 3 (rain date July 9) at the Jungle Habitat property, this family-oriented event will begin at 3 p.m. Proposed attractions (to be determined by vendor response), include: car show, motorcycle rally, live music, food vendors, carnival games, children's activities, pony rides, merchandise vendors and of course, fireworks. Admission to the event is $10 per carload, good for the entire day and night. Fireworks will begin about 9:30 p.m. Vendors are invited to contact Parks and Recreation to reserve a spot. Non profit groups may have a spot for free. Greenwood Lake July 2-3, Saturday-Sunday. Crafts fair, parade, bed races, music and more. Saturday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 3, Sunday, enjoy live music from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Big E's restaurant on the water.
