WEST MILFORD Kelsey Ross has won the West Milford Township Library Teen Manga Art Contest. Out of 15 entries, Kelsey won a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate for her Alice in Wonderland-inspired piece – an intricate and imaginative work in colored pencil.
Kelsey, a West Milford ninth grader, is a self-taught artist who has been drawing since elementary school. An image of her winning art can be viewed on the librarys Facebook site.
For the contest, local teens submitted their work to the library during Dec. 2011. All of their art was displayed in the front lobby showcase during January 2012. Blank ballots were available for voting.
