WEST MILFORD The West Milford Township Library was recently honored at the New Jersey Library Association Annual Conference held in Long Branch. The library won the Public Relations Program Announcement for its 2005 summer reading program, Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds. Head of Children’s Services Theresa McArthur and Head of Reference Services Joanne Grady created a variety of materials including the Jest Read Royal Journal, a calendar of events highlighting all programs, and posters promoting the club and events. The use of creative language, graphics, color and format were some of the elements which made this an outstanding submission for the award. The 2005 program of materials, events and prizes was enjoyed by over 550 children This coming summer the library will be offering programs such as Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales, a zoo-themed program. Township residents are invited to the kick-off celebration on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to register. Summer programming includes Monday evening adult programs and many children’s programs A new addition this year is programming for teens.
