WEST MILFORD On May 11 at approximately 7 p.m. the West Milford Police Department received several 911 calls of a motorcycle accident with injuries Lt. Michael Coscia arrived on the scene to find the operator of the motorcycle, later identified as Robert Johansson, 47, of West Milford lying on the unconscious on the ground. According to the investigation, a1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Johansson was traveling north on Union Valley Road. As approached Camden Place he crossed over the center line into the southbound lane, and then ran off the roadway. The motorcycle struck brush along the roadside and the driver was ejected. Due to the severity of the collision, NorthStar flew the driver to Morristown Memorial Hospital. The West Milford Police Collision Investigation Unit will be continuing the investigation. Johansson is being charged with DWI, reckless driving and various other motor vehicle violations. He was treated for internal injuries, no further information was available.
