    Two Pond Farm owner, Allison Hosford, snuggles with one of the two sets of triplet lambs born at the farm less than three weeks ago. The little spring lamb has no name yet, but she's soft and wooly and unbelievably cute. Hosford can handle the usually very shy animal because she has been bottle feeding her due the ewe having difficulty in nursing. Photo by Ginny Raue

    Hundreds walk each year to honor Danny Kane, a beloved Macopin teacher and resident of West Milford who lost his battle with Lymphoma. They raise lots of money too. This year, they formed a shamrock. The photo was submitted by reader Mike Dygos.

    This Great Dane, Gracie, was decked out as a horse, complete with stirrups for the Best Dressed contest at the annual West Milford Animal Shelter Walk-A-Dog-Athon. Not a lot smaller than a pony,Gracie carried Etienne Lynn on her saddle. The annual event was held at Wawayanda State Park. Pets and their happy owners enjoyed a beautiful fall day, strolled the park, had fun with the contests and helped the homeless shelter animals. Photo by Ginny Raue

    As night falls over Upper Greenwood Lake, the resident's boats are lined up and ready to enjoy the annaul Fourth of July fireworks display. All the boats are kept at a safe distance, away from the damn where the fireworks originate. Before the sky lit up with pyrotechnics the boats on the lake were a show in themselves, their running lights shining on the water, a deep blue sky overhead and almost-full moon adding to the scene. WEST MILFORD — Taking a look back at the year 2012, we've seen much happen here in the township of West Milford. And much of it was captured in picures. Here are some of our favorite shots from throughout the year. Some depict the big events that happened in town over the past 12 months, others show the beauty of the townshiip we call home, and still others are just great photos. We hope you enjoy them again.
