A beautiful day for the Irish Whisper Walk

The 8th annual Irish Whisper Walk of Hope raised more than $36,000 for the Lymphoma Research Foundation in memory of Danny Kane.
Kane, a longtime member of the Pinecliff Lake community and a teacher at Macopin Middle School, died of mantle cell lymphoma in 2009. He and his family members, including his wife Patti Kane and their children Tricia, Kathleen and Daniel, had been walking for the Lymphoma Research Foundation for years before he died. After his death, the Irish Whisper walk was born.
This year, there were more than 350 walkers that participated in the walk and tricky tray on such a beautiful April day.
Maple Road School students and West Milford Special Olympics athletes distributed water bottles and cheered on the walkers.
It was truly a fun and beautiful community event.
The Irish Whisper Walk of Hope has raised more than $400,000 in total for the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
Quite a tribute to Danny Kane's memory.
