WEST MILFORD — As one of the vendors of West Milford’s 18th Annual Autumn Lights Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13, Always There Home Health Care looks forward to connecting with members of the community and promoting its educational events. “It’s great to meet our friends and neighbors,” said West Milford office manager, Donna O’Connell. “We can promote our business in a proactive way by talking with everyone.”
Always There is especially interested in promoting its 25th anniversary and 76-hour training course that the agency offers to those interested in becoming Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs). The New Jersey Board of Nursing oversees this certification process. CHHAs are part of around the clock care for clients and they learn techniques to provide bathing, grooming and dressing services, light house cleaning, grocery shopping, meal preparation and assistance with pre-poured medications.
“These classes are ideal for the unemployed and for people who want to work close to home," said O’Connell. “Work the schedule that works for you. Become part of our health care team.”
Always There client surveys show that home health aides improve clients’ quality of life, nutrition and activity levels and promote clients’ independence and dignity. The agency is seeking new CHHAs to join the firm and help the growing need for personal care assistance to the elderly, sick and disabled in the community. This will be the agency’s third appearance at the festival.

A CHHA training class at the West Milford office will be held from Oct. 29 through Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. For registration information, call 973-506-7500.
