WEST MILFORD — The American Legion Post 289 is collecting food for local families that could use a helping hand this Thanksgiving season .
Donations may be brought to the American Legion, located on Lincoln Ave. in West Milford, on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon until 6 p.m. now through Thanksgiving.
The group is asking for any non-perishable foods including canned vegetables and fruits, gravy, stuffing, pasta and peanut butter, ShopRite gift cards and A&P gift certificates.
