HEWITT Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital is hosting a fund raiser for the Support Our 4 Legged Soldiers on Saturday, March 17, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Drs. Eric Louer and Kathleen Price will be scheduling wellness care exams and vaccines and technician appointments will be available for micro-chipping, heartworm tests, nail trimming, ear cleanings and anal gland exams.
Proceeds from the clinic will be donated to Support Our 4 Legged Soldiers, an organization founded in West Milford by Frank Yevchek that provides equipment and supplies for the military working dogs overseas. Yevchek's beloved German shepherd, Niki, was the local face of the organization. She passed away earlier this year. This fund raiser is in memory of Niki.
In addition to the proceeds being donated to the group, the hospital is asking clients to donate an additional $5 to the cause.
West Milford High School DECA students will be on hand hosting a bake sale throughout the day featuring both human and doggie treats. The bake sale starts at 8:30 a.m.
Captain Ken Facina of the Wanaque Police Department and his K9 Zula will be on hand for photo ops. Local service dogs will also be at the hospital to meet and greet clients.
