WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Animal Shelter currently has many cats and some kittens waiting for new homes and families. There are also two rats named Butterscotch and Little J (who are very friendly) and three dogs. One of these dogs is named Bean. She has beautiful brindle markings on her fur and always looks as if she is smiling.
Bean is six years old and was released to the shelter by her family due to a lifestyle change. She is very friendly, calm, easy going, well mannered and house trained. All of the volunteers think she is a great dog who deserves a home and a family to love her and be loved in return.
Bean loves people so much that she does not seem to want or need the companionship of another dog. She would be happiest being someone's one and only canine friend and buddy.
Bean is not fond of felines. She is best suited for an adults-only home or a home with children in their teens or older.
