Berkeley College is military friendly

    WOODLAND PARK — Berkeley College has been selected as a 2012 Military-Friendly College by Military Advanced Education, a magazine for servicemembers seeking to take advantage of the military education benefit. The list honors the colleges and universities that do the most to meet the needs of military and veteran students.

    “It is an honor for Berkeley College to receive this award for the third consecutive year,” said Richard E. Robitaille, EdD, Berkeley College assistant vice president of Military and Veterans Affairs. “The College participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program under the G.I. Bill, and collaborates on educational ventures with the National Guard, the Air Force, the GoArmyEd distance learning program, and the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership. We seek every opportunity to expand the programs and services offered to our 500 military and veteran students.”

    The 2012 Guide to America’s Top Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities, published by Military Advanced Education, is a resource designed for the nation’s servicemembers to assist them in their academic pursuits. A detailed list of military-friendly colleges is highlighted in the annual publication.

    Berkeley College has four New Jersey locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark. And in New York there are four locations — Midtown Manhattan, Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, Brooklyn, and White Plains. Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs.
