Military veterans recently enjoyed a sit-down lunch and entertainment at a local retreat as a thank you for their service.
Camp Hope, located on Union Valley Road, put on the big spread on Wednesday, Dec. 20. The menu included: chicken marsala, sausage and peppers, fettuccine alfredo, pumpkin pie and egg nog.
Close to 60 veterans, from all branches of the service, and their guests attended the feast.
Camp Hope's Chris Falone opened the event by welcoming guests, who enjoyed some music from Vinnie G Live Entertainment while they ate.
A member of the West Milford VFW, charged with drawing the winning ticket at the 50/50 raffle, pulled his own number and promptly donated the money to Camp Hope.
Said the camp's executive director, Karen Sisco: "On behalf of the Passiac County Chosen Freeholders and the Camp Hope Commission we would like to thank all of our military veterans for their service to our country"
