POMPTON PLAINS — Chilton Hospital’s Level II Special Care Nursery held its fourth annual reunion on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Families of newborns cared for in the Special Care Nursery were treated to an afternoon of food and entertainment.
The Starlight Children’s Foundation donated 48 “Pillow Pals” stuffed animal toys, plus two hours of time from Hug-A-Me the clown, who entertained the children with face painting and games. A total of 16 families with 24 children attended the event.
Neonatologist Lawrence Skolnick, M.D., made a special presentation to the parents about the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11 and why Chilton chose this date to honor the memory of those who perished by holding an event that symbolizes life and a new hope for the future.
