WEST MILFORD - The WMHS Hall of Excellence Committee said it would like to thank all who attended their first Gala Art Auction Fundraiser in October.
“Not only did the auctioneer raffle beautiful works of art at great prices; he also raffled great works of art from our own WMHS Alumni Artists,” the committee said in a statement. “We were fortunate to have guest artist John Stanisci, illustrator for Marvel and DC Comics, in attendance as well. There was something there for everyone.”
The statement said the committee would like to express its gratitude to the following alumni artists who so graciously donated to their high school alma mater for this event: Justina Addice (2015), Michael Casella (1991), Kelly DeNaples (2014), Luke Drexler (2002), Bjorn Holmgren (1999), Michael Schunke (1987), and Brett Strother (2008); and a special thanks to Sarah Silvestri (2012), who graced the attendees with her talents on the piano.
“WMHS students volunteered their time to work at (the) auction and we cannot thank you enough for your help on a school night, the statement said. “You make West Milford proud.”
The committee said the evening was a tremendous success, and they hope attendees are enjoying their purchases.
