WEST MILFORD — Operation Thank You is looking for donations for its spring care package send-off.
Begun in 2003 by Macopin Middle School teacher Richard Dygos, Operation Thank You supports the soldiers serving in Afghanistan. This program has been supported solely by the generous donations from Macopin School faculty, students, West Milford residents and businesses. These donations are then packaged in boxes and shipped to the soldiers serving overseas, to bring them some of the comforts of home and to say “thank you.”
Donations to Operation Thank You can be dropped off at the Macopin School main office on Highlander Drive or at the West Milford First Aid Squad station at 619 Ridge Road. Letters to the soldiers are also welcomed and will be boxed with the care package items.
Dygos is requesting names and addresses of relatives or friends serving in Afghanistan to receive the packages. If you have a name and address for a care package, contact him at richdygos@yahoo.com by April 30 and he will do his best to service the requests.
