Maple Road Elementary School received a congratulatory banner from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for being a "Silver Star School" by raising $3,942 for the group. This was an important event for the students but especially for Emily Biesiada, who has juvenile diabetes, as well as some of the other students in the Maple Road School.
