To meet the needs of people with hearing problems, the Kenney family has moved their Beltone hearing aid business to 1616C Union Valley Road in the Bearfort Shopping Center.
Previously, they were located in a building on Macopin Road.
“The Kenney family, in 2018, is celebrating 50 years of helping people hear better,” said Judy Kenney. “The family has helped tens of thousands of people in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania achieve a better quality of life through improving the assistance they need to improve their hearing.”
Sean Kenney said he and his family made the move to a larger state of the art location to help better serve the needs of their patients in West Milford.
The family also has an office in Pompton Lakes where Ryan Kenney sees patients. Judy Kenney, their mother handles administrative responsibilities for the business.
The late Jack Kenney, husband of Judy and father of Sean and Ryan, along with his own father John Kenney opened their Beltone Hearing Aid Center office in Pompton Lakes in 1968.
Jack then opened his second office in West Milford in 2000.
Jack’s legacy lives on through the work being done by his sons and Judy.
“Jack was a very caring and compassionate man who always put others first,” Judy said recently. “He made an impact on so many lives. He was always giving of himself and helped many charitable causes. Sean and Ryan are very proud to be third generation Hearing Care Practitioners. They are still even taking care of some patients who were seen by all three generations of the family.”
In speaking about Beltone, Sean said it is the most trusted name in hearing care among adults over 50. The Beltone Company started in 1940.
“Today they are still putting out some of the best and smallest hearing aids on the market, Sean said. “They allow you to have your hearing aids adjusted no matter where you are. With the new technology you can even identify where sounds and voices are coming from, even while they filter out background noise. Most of their Hearing aids today are compatible with Apple devices and selected Android devices.”
