Feisty Isis will liven up your life

— Isis is a young orange and white cat at the West Milford Animal Shelter that was named for a goddess.
Isis was a goddess in Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs and she was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife and a patron of nature and magic. She was a friend of slaves, the artistic, and the downtrodden. She was also known as a protector of the dead and a goddess of children.
Isis, the cat, is nothing like her namesake in spirt or behavior. She is not regal, refined or a protector of other cats She is very petite and lithe. This Isis is a little spit fire.
She is very active and likes to tease the other cats in the cattery, the shelter housing where the cats are free roaming. She loves attention but than can not help but give the person giving her attention a little swat. She is not retiring and gentle.
Isis has a lot of personality and needs someone who appreciates her for what she is. She needs someone who will have time to play with her and find her entertaining.
In a home setting with someone who can give her attention and stimulation, she will probably outgrow some of her feistiness. But she will probably always be a furry bundle of energy and fun.
If you would like to liven up your home with fun and love, then come and meet Isis. She is spayed, has been tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia and is up-to-date with inoculations.
The fee to adopt Isis is $35. For more information call 973-728-2859 or visit www.westmilfordanimalshelter.org,
