WEST MILFORD - A Franklin man was killed in a car crash in West Milford Sunday night, after his car rolled over and struck a tree. Milford Township Police responded to the single vehicle collision on Clinton Road near Schoolhouse Cove Road at about 9:29 p.m.
The victim, Michael P. Suchdolski, 58, was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to West Milford police, the vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Tacoma, was traveling east on Clinton Road when it crossed the double yellow lines and exited the roadway to the left.
The pickup truck struck a guardrail and continued down an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over and strike a tree. Police also believe there may have been an interaction with another vehicle on Route 23 prior to the crash.
The collision is currently under investigation by the West Milford Police Department Crash Investigation Unit. Any witnesses are asked to call the West Milford Police Department at 973-728-2800.
