WEST MILFORD — This golden girl did not expect to end up at the West Milford Animal Shelter and it would be very sad ifshe had to spend the remaining time of her golden years in a shelter.

Tasja is a large,10-year-old calico cat. She had a home and now she can't understand why she doesn't any more.Tasja has been very quiet and somewhat withdrawn. She loves attention when someone takesthe time to rub her chin and give her loving pats.

Tasja needs to feel loved again. She needs someone who will take the time to make her feel secure. The odds are stacked against Tasja finding a new home and family because of her age and becausesoon the shelter will have lots of kittens for adoption. She may be waiting a long time for thepersonwho wants her to come along.

Tasja, as a girl's name, is a variant of Anastasia (Greek), and the meaning of Tasja is "resurrection."This Tasja needs a resurrection - into a new and loving home.

Tasja has been tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia, is up-to-date with all inoculations and is spayed. The fee to adopt her is $35.
