The West Milford Township High School’s Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony will be held on June 15 at the Warwick Drive-in Movie Theater.

The graduates and their families will be escorted in a Car Parade of Graduates through the township to the Graduation Ceremony by the West Milford Police Department.

Residents of the West Milford Community, as well as extended family members and friends of the graduates, are invited to gather along the parade route to cheer for the graduates as the car parade passes by - to show the continuing community pride and support for them; to help celebrate their perseverance in overcoming the many pandemic-related obstacles and challenges they have faced since March of 2020; to acknowledge their individual and class accomplishments; and to wish them well in their future endeavors.

The car parade of graduates will begin at the high school at 7 p.m.

Parade route announced

The graduation parade will proceed down Highlander Drive, make a right turn onto Macopin Road, and travel into the center of town, past the Township Library and Town Hall.

The parade of cars will then follow the usual parade route used annually for the Township’s Memorial Day parades; and will continue past the ShopRite shopping center on Marshall Hill Road, bear left onto Lincoln Ave, and continue past the American Legion Building.

WMPD will continue to escort the graduates, leading them turning left onto Greenwood Lake Turnpike, and then proceeding straight up Warwick Turnpike to the Warwick Drive-in.

The Class of 2021 will view the recorded Virtual Graduation Ceremony together with their immediate families (one car limit per graduate) and as a whole class, as it is projected onto the venue’s three drive-in movie screens.

The same recorded Virtual Graduation Ceremony will also be aired on Cablevision Public Access Channel 77 and the high school TV Science YouTube Channel at 8:45 p.m. that evening for all others to view from home.
