Grandparents return to school

RINGWOOD — The halls of Ringwood Christian School were filled to capacity when students and grandparents attended school together at the end of the school year. The school’s annual Grandparents’ Day program has continued to grow over the past years and is a highlight for both students and grandparents.

The theme for the day was based on the school’s theme for the year, “OWL – Our Wise Lord.” The morning schedule was filled with special events geared toward the grandparents. Each grandparent in attendance received a special gift to help them remember the events of the day. Dr. Donna Marie Furrey, school principal, met with the grandparents and provided them with an update regarding some exciting things that have occurred over the school’s 40 year history.

The grandparents attended an all-school assembly where each class presented a special segment related to grandparents and the school band presented special music. Following the assembly, the grandparents had the opportunity to visit their grandchild’s classroom. Students enjoyed working on special projects and having lunch together.
