WEST MILFORD - The Paradise Knoll School Parent Teacher Association is bringing the Harlem Wizards basketball team back to West Milford on March 16 for a rematch with district teachers, principals, and staff members.
The West Milford Team, comprised of volunteer staff participants from each of the district's schools, will take on the Harlem Wizards in what promises to be an amusing, entertaining, fun-for-all-ages community event; filled with “TRICK HOOPS AND ALLEY OOPS!”
“Some say it’s the 'oohs' and 'aahs' created by the thunderous, sky-high slams," the Wizards website said. "For others it’s the humor and seeing the teachers being good sports and having fun on the court with the Wizards. The comedy, the audience participation, the spontaneity delivered as a world class show, in an intimate and community setting adds up to a night to be experienced and treasured.”
With more than 50 years of “worldwide basketball wizardry”, the Harlem Wizards roster “is full of amazing hoop talent”; featuring former Globetrotter showmen, Academic All-American players and FIBA 3 on 3 US Champs, and accomplished tricksters, dribblers and slam-dunk specialists.
Proceeds from the Harlem Wizards comedy basketball game/show/fundraiser event will help the PKPTA fund clubs, supplemental educational programs, special events, and other supportive resources and opportunities for students.
