WEST MILFORD — Jack is nimble. Jack is quick. Jack is always looking for someplace to sit!
This twist on a well known nursery rhythm, describes how a cat named Jack at the West Milford Animal Shelter is always on the lookout for a lap he can sit in.
On Tuesday, Helen, one of the shelter's volunteers was bending down to pick up an empty cat food dish and Jack took the opportunity to try and hop onto her lap. He looked so unhappy that he couldn't find a lap to sit in, that Helen picked him up and sat on the floor so he could sit in her lap.
He quickly made himself comfortable. And would have stayed there for a long time but Helen had to get up so she could take care of the other cats too.
Jack is a large, beautifully marked three-year-old neutered male cat.
His fur is very dark red with even darker red stripes. Patches of white really make his red fur a standout.
Jack loves people and gets along well with other cats. If you are looking for a friend to curl up on the couch with you when you are watching TV or lying in bed reading a book, then Jack is the friend for you.
