West Milford. Paint and Sip fund raiser this Saturday, Dec. 4

| 02 Dec 2021 | 11:33

The West Milford High School’s National and State Champions Highlander Band is hosting a “Paint and Sip” fund raiser this Saturday, Dec. 4, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church School Cafeteria (1905 Union Valley Road, Hewitt, across from Tractor Supply and Highlands Market).

Participants may choose any two seasonal designs from a selection of over 25 design options to paint onto 6x9” wood panels. All materials needed for the artwork will be provided.

Cost is $50. In addition to covering the cost of all materials provided, WMHS Band Students will receive $10 credit for each “sponsoring” participant they sign up, which will go directly into their Individual Band Accounts - which can be used to offset individual costs for Band-related expenses, such as their upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in Spring 2022, as well as other events, trips, and costs that arise during their entire school career as a member of the WMHS Highlander Band.

Participants that do not have a specific Band Student to sponsor are welcome to join in on the fun as well! Those proceeds will help fund the Band’s “general account,” which benefits the entire Band Program, including student instruments, music, trip fees, uniforms, show props and student scholarships.

As an added bonus, when a total of 25 or more participants is reached for the event, Jen Starr Studios will also donate a finished 12”x4’ wood porch leaner to raffle off, and all ticket sales from the raffle will be added directly to the Highlander Band fund A littlraiser as well.
