It's last call for kittens

— It's September, and that means back to school, the end of summer and the return to more rigid schedule. That's a good thing, especially if you are ready to bring a pet into your life. There is still an opportunity to bring some joy and excitement into your home by adopting a kitten.
There are only a few kittens still waiting for homes at the West Milford Animal Shelter. This group of kittens will be the last available until next spring - so it's last call.
Bringing a new pet into your home at this time of year can be easier since most people are at home more and have the time to bond and take care of their new pet. Pets can bring a lot of joy and love into a home. The benefits of pet ownership have been studied and some of the benefits of owning a pet are:
Health benefits: pet ownership can lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Pets owners have fewer headaches and fewer problems with indigestion and sleeping.
Increased exercise: pet owners get more exercise.
Happiness: pets help combat loneliness and depression.
Socialization: pets can help ease loss and improve social skills.
Love: pets provide excellent company and offer unconditional love.
If a kitten is not the pet for you or your family, there are many cats of all ages and dogs waiting for the chance to be the one chosen and taken home.
