WEST MILFORD — Wednesday was opening day at the West Milford Farmer's Market. Vendors with fresh, local produce, colorful flowers, free-range meats and yummy pickles, among other items, came to sell their products to an enthusiastic crowd. Music was provided by Marji Zintz and kids rocked their hula hoops. It was a festive opener, with bright sunshine and comfortable temperatures.

The market, which is now held at the Wells Fargo parking lot in the ShopRite Plaza on the corner of Marshall Hill and Union Valley Roads, is open every Wednesday now through Oct. 31, rain or shine, from 3 to 7 p.m.
