WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Junior Highlanders Football Pee Wee Division team defeated Sparta for the championship in the North Jersey Youth Football League Super Bowl at the turf field on Saturday, Nov. 28. It was a nail biter, with West Milford edging out the Spartans 13-12.
The Junior Highlanders, all seventh graders, had a 9-3 record for the season going into the Super Bowl.
The Junior Highlanders were led by head coach Sal D'Arco; Assistant coaches are Dimitri Clarke, Kerry Fleet, Dave Jagiello, Bob Choma, and Paul Babitz.
