WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Health Department, Chilton Hospital and the West Milford Public Schools are sponsoring a one-night program for the parents of West Milford to help them be aware of drug trends. "Current Drug Trends" will be presented on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. in the West Milford high School auditorium. A panel of experts will review the current drug trends that are affecting the West Milford community. A primary focus will include prescription pills and heroin.
The panel will discuss the various popular drugs, signs and symptoms, what to do if you think your child might be using, and treatment options.
The expert panel consists of: Chilton Hospital/West Milford paramedics, members of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, West Milford Police Department’s narcotics detective, New Life Recovery Center and West Milford Public School’s superintendent. Representatives from West Milford’s Communities Against Substance Abuse (CASA) committee will be on hand to provide informational materials to attendees.
This is a program all parents should plan to attend. "We can only help this current drug situation with an armor of knowledge," said Marianne Stillman, the Chilton Health Educator for the township.
