This year, St. Catherine of Bologna School received a grant from the Toshiba America Foundation in the amount of $6,647. The grant money was used to implement a hydroponics and aquaponics project. The eighth graders saw their hard work come to fruition with the harvest of their first batch of lettuce. In keeping with the school’s mission to help others, the lettuce was donated to Table to Table, a charity that picks up fresh and perishable food and delivers it to soup kitchens, homeless shelters and after school programs.
