WEST MILFORD Lindy Lake will host its first annual Battle of the Bands and BBQ Cook Off Contest on Saturday, Aug. 18. The winner of the Battle of the Bands will win $500 and perform at the lake community's Labor Day Beach party. Bands wishing to compete should send the name of their band, contact information and a $25 check for the entry fee made out to Lindy Lake Association to: Deb LaRusso, 71 Hudson Drive, West Milford NJ 07480. The BBQ Cook Off has a $5 entry fee due the day of the contest. The winner receives two $25 gift certificates to the Italian Villa in Warwick, N.Y.
