Looking their best for the semi formal

— It's like a prom for the middle school set. The township's Department of Community Services and Recreation and CASA, Community Against Substance Abuse, held its annual semi formal for West Milford students in seventh and eighth grades recently. The hall was packed with 260 kids, dressed in their finest dresses and suits. What a great time they had. There was a DJ complete with a light show, a photo booth, lots of soda and hors d'oeuvres.

This is the 13th year for the semi formal, which is held at the West Milford Elks Lodge. According to Marlene Terhune, CASA coordinator, like the beach parties held for kids in grades 6 through 8 each summer, these events show the students you can have fun without using drugs or alcohol.
