Alexsandra Kosciolek and Anthony Derin were crowned the semi formal king and queen. Both are seventh graders at Macopin.
The girls had so much fun and looked beautiful in their fine dresses.
The boys didn't let their attire keep them from some raucous dancing.
Girlfriends took lots of pictures at the photo booth.
WEST MILFORD — It's like a prom for the middle school set. The township's Department of Community Services and Recreation and CASA, Community Against Substance Abuse, held its annual semi formal for West Milford students in seventh and eighth grades recently. The hall was packed with 260 kids, dressed in their finest dresses and suits. What a great time they had. There was a DJ complete with a light show, a photo booth, lots of soda and hors d'oeuvres.
This is the 13th year for the semi formal, which is held at the West Milford Elks Lodge. According to Marlene Terhune, CASA coordinator, like the beach parties held for kids in grades 6 through 8 each summer, these events show the students you can have fun without using drugs or alcohol.
