Louis J. Ruggiero passed away on Friday, Dec. 29. He was 78.
Born in Newark, N.J. to the late Louis V. and Anne (Botticelli) Ruggiero, he lived in Lyndhurst and North Arlington before moving to West Milford 14 years ago.
He was a self-employed building contractor for R & S Building, North Arlington.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley (Russo) Ruggiero; four loving sons: Ronald Ruggiero, Michael Ruggiero (Vilma), Kevin Ruggiero (Laila), and Jeffrey Ruggiero (Christine); a brother, Richard Ruggiero; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Jordan, Jenna, Jonathan, Andrew, Matthew, Katherine and Khristina; and one great-grandchild, Mason Johnston.
Visiting hours are 2-6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, N.J.
Interment is at 12 noon on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at Warwick Cemetery, Route 94, Warwick, N.Y. Funeral procession will depart from the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Upper Greenwood Lake First Aid Squad, Hewitt, N.J., or to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
