WEST MILFORD — Many people had a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. Perhaps they were thankful for those that they love and who love them, Perhaps they were thankful for a warm home of their own. Perhaps they were they thankful for meeting a special someone or making new friends.
They weren't they only ones thankful for these things and more. Twenty-seven cats or kittens, 1 dog and 1 rabbit that were formally homeless and at the West Milford Animal
shelter can now be thankful as well. They are the lucky ones with some to love and to love them, a home of their own, a new special someone one and new friends. The lucky cats and kittens were: Blaze, Brooke, Claudine, Charlie, Hardy, Hermione, Honey, Jim, Lily and Ginney (litter mates adopted together), Lola, Louise, Meredith, Pam, Pauline, Pebbles, Reese, Sabrina, Shelley, Stirling, Ted, Taki, Tony, Willomena, Winnie, Zena and Ziggy.
There was one lucky dog named Lexi and one lucky rabbit named Wilbur.
They were all adopted during the shelter's special "Home Fur The Holidays" adoption event for the month of December through Jan. 8. Every pet adopted went home with a special gift bag.
One of the dogs at the shelter waiting for his new home is named Codak. He under a year of age, sweet, smart, playful, happy, polite and very handsome. His pose and sweet face are a real "Kodak" moment.
There are other dogs, cats and a few kittens also in need of a family and home of their own.
